Easy Healthy Energy Balls Recipe

The ultimate snack for any time of the day! They make a perfect breakfast, snack or a healthy, diet food go to! A simple recipe with only 6 ingredients.

These energy balls are my go to when I need a good pick me up! I think they’re such a perfect size to take along anywhere! You can take them with to the job, and they will give you energy for a long time! These energy balls are packed with healthy carbs, fats, and fiber that are so good for your body! I love eating them before and during a volleyball game, and they are also such a good pre-workout snack!

This recipe is made with my homemade peanut butter, and also my homemade almond butter. Y’all, its the way to go! Its so satisfying knowing exactly what is going in to these energy balls! You will not regret making your own butters to use in these!

How to make energy balls:

Step 1: Stir all the ingredients together. I used to mix these together with my hands, but it was always so messy. So I started using the Kitchen Aid Mixer, and it was a life changer! No more greasy hands! I would definitely recommend using a mixer if you have one!

Step 2: Form the balls. What I’ve found that works the best to form these is using a cookie scoop and then finish forming the ball with your hands. If you have trouble forming the balls, you can always add more of the butters, or honey! Also, if you make these often you know how time consuming it is to shape them all by hand. So what I’ve started doing is putting the mixture into a pan, and pressing it down, then cutting it into bars!

Step 3: Serve them! Or you can also keep the in your fridge up to a week, and you always have the option of freezing them!

Customizing and being creative

There are so many other ingredients that aren’t on the recipe, that you can add to these energy balls! Here are a few of my suggestions!

  • Collagen powder
  • Protein Powder
  • Cashew Butter
  • Chocolate chips
  • Flaked Coconut
  • Ground Flaxseed
  • Spices (Cinnamon or Pumpkin Pie Spice)

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/4 cup all natural peanut butter
  • 1/4 cup all natural almond butter
  • 1/3 cup raisins
  • 1 tbsp. Chia Seeds
  • 1/4 cup honey

Instructions

  • Mix all ingredients together and shape into balls!
