How I make Healthy, All Natural, Peanut Butter.

Who ever knew all natural peanut butter was so EASY to make ?! It only takes one ingredient. Peanuts.

I did not realize how EASY it is to make healthy, all natural peanut butter till just recently! I am excited to share this with you because I will be using this quite a bit in my recipes! I will not be going back to buying all natural peanut butter! This is just too easy to make and so much better than the bought stuff! I absolutely love it! My sister-in-law gets the credit since she was the one that introduced it to me!

Something that I love about it is that it does not not separate like a lot of the ones do that you can buy. In my experience, the all natural peanut butters I bought would often come with oils on top and the butter underneath was hard! This does not happen with this homemade peanut butter unless it sits around for a really long time.

First off, the only ingredient you need to make this recipe is dry roasted peanuts. I used Planters Dry Roasted Peanuts for this peanut butter. It is a very common brand that you can find almost anywhere!(Some people roast theirs before they make it, but I haven’t ever.) If you like your peanut butter sweet, you definitely could add honey, or even sugar if you’re not concerned about it being healthy!

You will need a blender to make this. I use a Ninja blender that does the job fantastically! It only takes about 4 minutes to blend it, but I know for some blenders, it can take up to 8 minutes to get your butter smooth…

To make almost a quart of peanut butter, you will need 32 oz. of dry roasted peanuts. Pour them into a powerful blender, and start it up! You will see the peanuts turn into crumbs, and at the bottom it will soon start to make a thick paste. I like stopping the blender every minute or so and scraping down the sides… Soon you will see the thick paste turning into smooth shiny peanut butter!

Here is what the peanuts will look like soon after you start it. Very crumbly.

Next it will start turning into a thick paste at the bottom of your blender!

After about a minute, stop the blender and scrape down the sides.

After about 4 minutes, your peanuts should have turned into smooth, shiny butter!

And there you go! You just made all natural peanut butter! There are so many things you can use it in! I love eating it with apples and bananas! I am also going to be using it in my healthy fiber energy balls that are simply the best! (That recipe will be coming shortly!) I use this peanut butter for my Healthy Peanut Butter Granola too. Be sure and try out that recipe too sometime if you’re a big fan of peanut butter like I am!

Ingredients

  • 32 oz. Dry Roasted Peanuts
  • Sweetener optional

Instructions

  • First pour the peanuts into your blender or food processor. Start blending the peanuts. Soon you will see the peanuts get crumbly. Stop the blender every minute or so to scrape down the sides of the blender. Soon your peanut crumbs will turn into a thick paste. Keep on blending for a total of 4 minutes or until it has reached the consistency you like! The longer you blend, the smoother it will become. 32 ounces of peanuts will make about a quart of butter
  • Store your peanut butter in your pantry or fridge, in an airtight container.
